Ourus is a light footed and flexible film production company based in Manchester. We specialise in working alongside social research on innovative projects and cutting edge technologies to communicate their project in the most effective way possible, working regularly with Universities and innovative organisations from all over the UK. At Ourus we aim to be future facing, over the last 3 years we’ve positioned ourselves at the cutting edge of Academic Research and technological innovation. Our work has been showcased all over the world at high profile conferences including CHI (Computer Human Interaction) and UIST (User Interface Software and Technology Symposium). We’ve been recipients of the EPSRC Telling Tales grant for innovation in story telling, helping us refine our filming and story telling methods in order to effectively communicate the impact of research and technological innovation. A recent film of ours about ‘ReForm’, a 3D printer that integrates Physical and Digital Design through Bidirectional Fabrication, was picked up by the BBC and showcased on the technology programme ‘Click’.
