Our Movement Yoga™ Information

Yoga is beneficial to all ages, if you can breathe you can do yoga. In particular, youth benefit from developmentally appropriate postures and activities for their bodies that allow them to move, balance, breathe and play. Bonding with a caregiver is a lifelong benefit for both the little yogi and their person. It sets the stage for future healthy relationships for the child and the fun, shared songs and poses learned in class are something they can take home and continue to share after class. Yoga enhances body awareness, helping children with self-regulation, self-monitoring, and learning to navigate physically in the world around them. The Mission of Our Movement Yoga™ (OMY) is to empower a hue-filled community of youth along with their families. We envision a space where youth of every hue can move freely in community and see themselves in one another. Our Movement Yoga™ expands the idea of what yoga is and is not. Our all-inclusive wellness community of youth along with their families are empowered through mindfulness movement. Our Movement. Our Movement Yoga™ offers both online and in-person yoga mindfulness, movement, and meditation instruction to Babies, Teens, Mamas, and Families.
