Our Connected Community Information

All families want their children to succeed. Studies have shown repeatedly that parent involvement directly affects a child’s school success. That’s why a group of parents, educators, and software geeks formed Our Connected Community, a non-profit that partners with leading organizations to build bridges to families and strengthen communities. We believe that being able to form relationships with your child’s school community should not be dictated by your zip code, language, time in this country, education level, or the logistics and struggles of daily life. Our Connected Community focuses on family engagement research, thought leadership, and making impactful technical solutions available to communities. By providing SchoolCNXT- a mobile app that breaks down the barriers of language, adult literacy, and access- to families, we are creating equity in communities throughout the United States. Together we can build a world of stronger, more inclusive communities where every family is connected to their children’s schools, teachers, and community organizations.
