OU CLUB OF AUSTIN Information

The OU Club of Austin is for all Friends, Fans, and Alumni of the University of Oklahoma. We gather for activities all year round and welcome visitors and guests at all our get-togethers. We host watch parties for Sooner sports and attend games in the area. We also hold special events like barbeques and picnics as social gatherings for like-minded Fans and Alumni of OU. From time to time, we host special guests from the university as a way to promote what's going on at the Norman, OKC, and Tulsa campuses and to keep Alumni in touch with the university community. In addition, we assist the university in the recruitment of area high school students. We currently offer three scholarships for graduating high school seniors from the greater Austin/Central Texas area who apply to and are accepted for attending OU in the following fall semester. The traditional events we host and sponsor include (*every year; **occasionally): Special Events with athletic, academic, and special interest speakers from OU ** College Fairs in Austin and central Texas area high schools * Scholarship Fundraisers ** TV Watch Parties throughout the football and basketball seasons * Group Attendance at football and basketball games played in the region (Waco, College Station, etc.) ** Annual Student Dinner high school students accepted into the upcoming fall semester at OU * Annual Kickoff Dinner the Thursday evening before the first OU football game * Beat Texas Happy Hour before the big OU/UT game in October **
