Dr Ottosen has been heading Steen Ottosen ApS in the US and EU since 2016 leading a group of top level professionals supporting pharmaceutical companies of all sizes with medicines, vaccines and devices during development, approval and in the post market phase. He has more than 20 years of experience in pharmacovigilance, medical, regulatory affairs and IT/quality management. Recently he held positions as VP of global pharmacovigilance at La Jolla Pharmaceutical, Arena Pharmaceuticals and served as European Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance for Amgen in London as well as senior positions at Amgen Thousand Oaks, California over a period of 7 years during which he also served on the MedDRA management board and as representative for the pharmaceutical industry in the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries - EFPIA Previously he was Vice President of Global Drug Safety Centres at PRA International as well as leading positions in small and midsize bio-pharmaceutical companies including Pharmion, Genmab and Lundbeck Dr Ottosen is a physician with a medical degree from the University of Southern Denmark and clinical experience from general surgery as well as family medicine.
