The Ottomin Group is a Sydney based private and independent investment firm established by Richard Kovacs in 1999. The company’s prime focus is on investment banking activities in the natural resources sector and managing a global portfolio of investments across a broad range of asset classes. The Group aims to generate above average investment returns which are injected back into the community through the Ottomin Foundation. Investment Banking We provide early stage financing to emerging mining companies and developmental financing to established companies. The Group does this through partnerships and long term strategic relationships with companies active in the mining sector. Our financing arrangements are versatile and include: -Bridging loans -Trade finance -Project finance -Private equity -Alternative financing including royalties We have specialist knowledge of mining royalties, in particular gold royalties. The most notable was our participation in the significant sale of the Gold Fields(SA) St Ives gold royalty in Western Australia in 2009. Portfolio Management The Group actively manages a global portfolio of investments comprising: equities, fixed interest securities, property, infrastructure, private equity and alternative investments. The Group aims to preserve and grow capital in real terms, seeking absolute returns and investing with a long term horizon. We seek out diversification by investing in multiple asset classes across the globe. The Group has developed key relationships with specialist managers and institutions who provide access to opportunities complementing the Group's investment portfolio. Ottomin Foundation Set up in 2010, the main focus of our foundation is to provide significant support to socially disadvantaged and disabled young Australians in a sustainable way to give them every opportunity to have better future.
