Otterson Associates have operated as agents for a range of manufacturers of equipment for the production of wood based panels since 1987 and have equipment installed in all major sites in our market. The genesis of this business was the acquisition of the Bison Werke agency in 1972 and the sale of Bison Mende Plants in Australia and New Zealand, a Dieffenbacher Low pressure laminating line, and subsequent Bison Single Opening Plants to Fletchers and CSR. We also established GreCon's paramount position in Spark Detection Systems for the protection of pneumatic conveying and filter systems in the mid seventies. Now Otterson represents more than twenty manufacturers from six countries and offers complete plants, or individual machines and systems, for the manufacture of particleboard, MDF, OSB, mineral bonded boards, high and low pressure laminate and essential equipment for plywood, LVL, sawmills and furniture componentry. There is a solid base of equipment from our various principals installed throughout Australia and New Zealand and technical assistance is available to our customers and service offered either on a regular basis (GreCon and Wemhoner) or as required.
