The Brazen Head has now established itself as one of Dublin's best live music venues. We host the best of Irish traditional music and well-loved ballads every night. Our weekend line-up of bands includes Rafferty, Roots'N'Rye, Straight From The Crate and The Brazen Hussies. These bands have been entertaining both visitors and their more regular following here for more years than we care to remember. Every night we have a host of talented bands playing. Easily our most popular music event is our fantastic Sunday afternoon session from 3.30 - 6.30pm. A band provide the music allowing some of our more talented customers to get a chance to sing their song. If you think you might be up for the challenge get here early on a Sunday and you could end up on X-Factor! Many famous musicians have played here over the years such as the Dubliners, Van Morrison, The Hothouse Flowers and more recently Tom Jones at the Guinness 250 year celebrations. It is not unknown for some musicians to pop in for an inpromptu session. The Brazen Head was featured in Garth Brooks music video Name Song. Depending on the night you visit, you may catch a traditional session or even a more contemporary band playing well known ballads. Musicians from all over Ireland come together here to share their love of Irish music both traditional and contemporary. Take time to absorb the pictures and the scripts that adorn our walls and allow yourself to feel the palpable sense of history within the timeworn walls.
