OST – Ostschweizer Fachhochschule Information

Since 1 September 2020, the OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule (Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences) has united the tried and tested universities of applied sciences FHS St.Gallen, HSR Rapperswil and NTB Buchs to form a strong university of applied sciences in Eastern Switzerland, building together on over 170 years of educational and research experience. At the three OST locations in Buchs, Rapperswil-Jona and St.Gallen, around 3700 students study in 20 Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes. They benefit from more than 180 university cooperations in 52 countries and the practical know-how transfer from more than 1000 active research and development projects in collaboration with industry and research partners, which are carried out in our 35 research institutes and competence centres.
