“Am plecat de la o idee si de la o dorinta. Doream sa mananc bine, doream sa mananc in oras, cu prietenii mei si sa ma satur. Munceam toata ziua, negasind timp de a mai merge acasa, satul de aceleasi vesnice sandwichuri de la fast-food. Visam la vremurile cand ma astepta mancarea aburinda pe masa, calda si gustoasa. Cu foarte bun in ea. In visele mele mancam la mama. Asa s-a nascut ideea. Asa s-a nascut La Mama. Din necesitate, din dor si de ce nu… din foame. Mama pune intotdeauna foarte bun in mancare. Mama nu se supara ca mananc mult. Intotdeauna la mama ma simt bine. Pentru ca este altceva. Noi am pornit acum douazeci de ani, pe data de 27 februarie 1999, cu o idee. Am incercat sa pastram aceasta idee intacta, ba chiar sa o imbunatatim zi de zi. Pentru ca, asa cum pentru mama eu eram cel mai important atunci cand veneam acasa pentru o cina, asa si pentru noi, Dumneavoastra, clientii, sunteti cei mai importanti!”
