OSMOART Information

The name of the company is composed of two words: "OSMO" and "ART". The first part of the name "OSMO" is inspired by the Greek words "Osmé" (smell, perfume, scent) and "Osmos" (thrust, impulse, reciprocal influence). While "ART" comes from the Latin word "Ars" and "Artis", it is a phenomenon of society that fulfills three essential functions: • Art carries a message, an expression of its own ideal. • It can be associated with a simple play activity. • Art assumes a symbolic function by which society structures its collective imagina-tion, shapes its vision of the world, expresses its aspirations and contradictions. The apophtegma "perfumes, colors & sounds" expresses the idea of an interactive sen-sorality. It is inspired by the poetry of Charles Baudelaire and the sonnet "Correspondances", from his work "The Flowers of Evil". OSMOART is a French niche perfumery company founded in 2003 by creative perfumer and raw material expert Pierre Bénard. Passionate about fragrances, colors and sounds, OSMOART is an innovator of multi-sensory and synesthesic experiences centered on culture, creative expertise, education and research and development.
