The National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design, Norway. The National Museum holds, preserves, exhibits, and promotes public knowledge about, Norway's most extensive collections of art, architecture and design. It shows permanent exhibitions of works from its own collections and temporary exhibitions that incorporate works loaned from elsewhere. The Museum's exhibition venues in Oslo are the National Gallery, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the National Museum – Architecture, and the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design. The Museum's programme also includes exhibitions that tour both within and beyond Norway's borders.

Stiftelsen Norsk Folkemuseum består av Bogstad Gård, Bygdø Kongsgård, Eidsvoll 1814, IBSEN Museum & Teater, Norsk Folkemuseum og Norsk Maritimt Museum. Norsk etnologisk gransking og Norsk Farmasihistorisk Museum er også en del av virksomheten. Stiftelsen har et nasjonalt mandat som kulturhistorisk museum. Vi skal forvalte og formidle kulturarv fra hele landet og alle deler av samfunnet og museene i stiftelsen skal være en kilde til kunnskap og glede for alle. Stiftelsen Norsk Folkemuseum har rundt 230 fast ansatte, fordelt på de ulike delene av virksomheten. I sommersesongen er det opp mot 500 personer som jobber hos oss. Vi leter stadig etter nye dyktige kollegaer og har stor bredde i stillinger innen ulike fagområder og med ulike kompetansekrav. Blant våre ansatte finner du alt fra forskere i kulturhistoriske fag og håndverkere, til ulike stillinger rettet mot våre besøkende, som for eksempel omvisere og kaféansatte.

The Munch Museum houses a large part of Edvard Munch's complete works, which he bequeathed to the City of Oslo at the end of his life. The collection consists of around 28.000 works of art: paintings, prints, drawings, sketchbooks, photographs and sculptures. This gives the Munch Museum a unique position in both a Nordic and international context, and the museum collaborates with leading art institutions all over the world. In addition to works by Munch, the museum also houses the collection of Rolf E. Stenersen. The new museum will present the collection, as well has having an ambitious and wide-ranging program of temporary exhibitions, including modernism and contemporary art.
