Oslo Society of Exploration Geophysicists (OSEG) wants to promote the science of geophysics and the fellowship and co-operation among persons interested in geophysical methods and problems. OSEG is an Associated Society of EAGE and affiliated with SEG OSEG was founded on May 10, 2005 at Skøyen, Oslo, and has around 100 members (as of December 2010). The intention of the Society is to be a meeting place, both technically and socially, for persons interested in geosciences in the Oslo area. OSEG aims at arranging approximately 6 meetings/workshops per year. The meetings are held at various geoscience locations e.g. oil companies, oil service companies, and academic institutions
