Mundelein High School is a comprehensive one‐building district housing grades 9‐12. The district covers a 36‐square mile area and serves the needs of 2,033 students from Mundelein and surrounding communities. Mundelein is located on Chicago’s North Shore, approximately 40 miles north of Chicago. Neighboring high schools include Libertyville, Vernon Hills, Stevenson, Lake Zurich and Grayslake.
Beginning with the 2016‐2017 school year, the high school has a new building addition which includes two STEM labs along with Project Lead the Way instruction and a Business Incubator Lab. The school has a strong academic program with more than 87 percent of graduates continuing their education at postsecondary institutions. The school offers a wide range of challenging courses, including honors and advanced placement courses that are open to all interested students. The school also offers special education services, ELL and bilingual classes. Qualified students may also take courses at the nearby College of Lake County as well as at the Lake County High School’s Technology Campus. The school offers more than 40 extracurricular programs, clubs and activities as well as a comprehensive athletic program of 31 varsity sports for men and women.

Founded in 1890 the Crafton Volunteer Fire Department has faithfully protected life and property for over one hundred years. With single family homes, multi-family dwelling, high rise buildings, churches, schools and shopping plaza's it is easy to see that growth must occur within the Fire Department. With the members consisting of volunteer Firefighters and Emergency Medical Personnel, the CVFD is proud of its past and welcomes the challenges of the future. Providing fire and emergency medical first responder coverage for Crafton,Thornburg and Rosslyn Farms, there is always the need for growth. One of the biggest challenges of the future lies in finding residents willing to give, to insure the continued pride of the CVFD.
