Origin is a diversified and acquisitive company based in South Africa, operating across three platforms: Consumer, Industrial, and Property. The group is growth-oriented and focused on the long term, with the objective of creating and sustaining shareholder value over years and decades. We acquire and operate businesses with genuine heritage, a sustained record of profitability through economic cycles, and a durable competitive moat that protects returns on capital. Our preference is for established companies with proven management, defensible market positions, and operational discipline. The Consumer pillar comprises businesses serving the South African household, categories that benefit from scale, distribution depth, and brand equity: tiles and home improvement products, FMCG packaging, protective clothing and equipment, paints and decorative coatings are examples of some of our established businesses' offerings. The Industrial pillar comprises manufacturing, fabrication, and trading businesses. The Property pillar consists of owned industrial and commercial real estate across South Africa. Origin takes a permanent capital approach. We do not have an exit horizon. When we acquire a business, we intend to own it indefinitely, reinvest in it, and compound its earnings over time. We back capable management teams with the autonomy to operate their businesses, supported at group level by capital allocation discipline, governance, and strategic oversight.
