Unión Venezolana (UNIVEN) is a 501(c)(3) student organization at the University of Miami whose purpose is to unite the Venezuelan community on campus as well as to celebrate our traditions and spread them to other students. UNIVEN also wants to contribute to students’ personal and professional growth, and guide Venezuelan and other international students in their process of cultural and social adaptation at The U. Originally founded as “Venezuelan Student Association” in 1983 and later known as “Asociación Venezolana”, UNIVEN strives to foster leadership and school spirit while creating a social and service-oriented network at the University of Miami for Venezuelan students and non-Venezuelan students alike.
