The Edison Electric Institute (EEI) is the association that represents all U.S. investor-owned electric companies. Our members provide safe, reliable electricity for 250 million Americans and operate in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Powering the energy of every day, the electric power industry supports more than 7 million jobs and drives American economic growth and prosperity.

ZVEI e. V. is the Electro and Digital Industry Association and promotes the industry’s joint economic, technological and environmental policy interests on a national, European and global level. The industry has round about 890,000 employees in Germany plus 766,000 employees all over the world. In 2018 the turnover was Euro 193,5 billion.

The European Round Table for Industry (ERT) is a forum that brings together around 60 Chief Executives and Chairs of major multinational companies of European parentage, covering a wide range of industrial and technological sectors. ERT strives for a strong, open and competitive Europe as a driver for inclusive growth and sustainable prosperity. Companies led by the Members are ERT are situated throughout Europe, with combined revenues exceeding €2 trillion, providing around 5 million direct jobs worldwide – of which half are in Europe – and sustaining millions of indirect jobs. They invest more than €60 billion annually in R&D, largely in Europe. ERT advocates policies at both national and European levels, with the goal of improving European competitiveness, growth and employment.
