Our mission is to introduce curious individuals of the UO community to the world of quantitative finance and lead novice students to become prepared applicants when applying to internships/jobs in this field. Most requirements for a “Quant” consist of a substantial background in Mathematics, Coding and Finance. Our goal is to inform students on what it takes to be a “Quant”, and what is needed to be a successful one. We are aiming to jointly educate each other and produce group projects, participate in workshops and research to improve our collective knowledge in this field. First meeting coming Fall 2024.....
