Oregon Action Information

Oregon Action works with communities of color and low income families by expanding electoral capacity by using traditional tools of mobilization such doors to door canvassing, phone canvassing, leafleting, community forums, marches, rallies and special events to increase participation in the electoral process. Oregon Action places a very high value on educating our constituents on important political issues such as ballot measures and others relevant legislative initiatives requiring grassroots mobilization and solutions. Oregon Action is among the most diverse social justice organizations in Oregon and has a well deserved reputation for creating dynamic social change through grassroots organizing. Oregon Action organizes people to engage effectively in the process of active democratic participation. Oregon Actions core focus is building grassroots political power among low-income families, people of color and those people with limited access to traditional structures of power and policy-making. Oregon Action is a statewide non-profit community justice organization dedicated to building power for low-income families and people of color on issues of racial, economic and social justice. Oregon Action works to build concrete and lasting political power among oppressed, disenfranchised and disadvantaged people in order to address the underlying causes of the problems that our members and constituents face in their day to day lives such as healthcare, police accountability, financial equity and housing.
