OreadRx is a pharmacist‑owned and operated PBM, founded in 2018 by four independent community pharmacists in Kansas. Three of our founders trained at the University of Kansas, where Mount Oread inspired both our name and our mission: to elevate the standard of care in pharmacy benefits. Our founders never set out to build a PBM — they built one out of necessity. After years inside a system shaped by misaligned incentives, opaque pricing, and rebate‑dependent models, they saw a gap in the market: true alignment between cost, care, and accountability simply didn’t exist. So they created it.
