We view the 'black box' problem as a field for design exploration. Ordinal Systems is a private research and design environment dedicated to the orchestration of autonomous agents and emergent media. We operate at the intersection of agentic infrastructure and human-centric design, exploring how intelligence perceives, reasons, and executes across digital and physical landscapes. Our current work focuses on: 1. Autonomous Orchestration – Developing deterministic guardrails for AI agents within complex infrastructures. 2. Emergent Media – Synthesizing AI-driven content and "learning-in-public" through our Substack, The Ordinal Dispatch. 3. Product Prototyping – Rapidly iterating on agentic tools, including our current billing experiment, Sinvoice.
