We agree the covered event, the data used to verify it, and the payout schedule upfront using orbital data and selected spacecraft telemetry. When the trigger is met, the policy pays out automatically. Orbway builds repeatable protection modules designed for constellation operations, from short operational disruptions through to more severe mission impacts. The aim is straightforward protection that helps operators protect mission cashflow when performance or availability is affected.
