Orbea is the world's only international bicycle brand that is a worker-owned cooperative. Our journey began in 1840, and in 1969 our workers bought the company, taking ownership of its future. Since then, we've operated on a simple democratic principle: one person, one vote, meaning the people who create the value also shape the company's future. That shared ownership gives us the freedom to think long term, make better decisions for our riders, and build a business accountable to the people behind it. Born in the Basque Country, where cycling is lived with passion and knowledge, we design bikes for demanding riders. Riders who prioritise performance and excellence in the smallest details, and seek a deeper connection with every ride. We believe exceptional products come from controlling the details that matter. That's why we design, test, paint and assemble our bikes under one roof at our headquarters. Keeping manufacturing local gives us the flexibility to innovate, maintain the highest standards, and offer our riders the opportunity to take part in the creation of their dream bike through MyO Custom. We believe success has meaning only when it creates lasting value beyond the business itself. That means protecting the places where we ride, strengthening communities through cycling, and reinvesting in future generations.
