Orb Energy is a vertically integrated solar energy solutions provider - including manufacturing solar photovoltaic panels in Bengaluru and financing SME customers. Established in 2006 in India, we specialise in photovoltaic systems for rooftop and ground mounted applications. Orb Energy also has a subsidiary in Kenya serving the African solar market. Our product portfolio includes residential, commercial and industrial solar photovoltaic and solar water heating solutions. Orb's USP remains its end-to-end integrated approach to helping customers transition to solar energy – including manufacturing, system design, sales consultancy, installation, after-sales service, government liaison for connection, to in-house finance. The 400+ strong team is spread across 12 states of India - Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Delhi NCR, Gujarat, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh – where Orb is particularly strong in working with SMEs. We are unique in offering an in-house credit facility for SMEs. Our collateral-free solar loans, with 3-5 year tenures, enable SMEs to quickly adopt rooftop and ground mounted solar solutions. The financing facility is designed to allow financial freedom - including zero down payment options, and designed such that electricity savings from solar are greater than the monthly EMI. Rooftop solar has a payback of just 3-4 years, so once the loan is paid off the system has also paid for itself, and from then on it is free power for the business.
