OptiSynx was a Cambridge startup company developing a new precision clock for the telecoms, datacoms and related markets as a more accurate and reliable clock than rubidium and a much lower cost clock than caesium. Being an early-stage hardware company in development / investment mode during the recession, unfortunately it did not survive - the company no longer exists. However the IP is still available and the benefits it had back then are still as true today - a low cost, reliable, high precision oscillator that has benefits over all other technologies and can have a development path to see it reduced from rack mount, to blade, to chip level.
