OptiPower Projects (Pty) Ltd was initiated and registered in 2001 by the current CEO Andre Swart. Motivation to enter the industry was due to the lack of Black Empowered Companies within the Western Cape, and to contribute and pass the experience gained from decades of transmission line related project participation within ABB South Africa. The company started off with the installation of Overhead and underground Fibre Optics cables and advanced to turn-key construction of Powerlines and Substations.
