Formed in 1992, Options for Independence is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit social service agency with the goal of building better communities, one person at a time. Options reaches out to children/families and single adults facing serious challenges to living successfully in the community of their choice. Options for Independence provides case management services, counseling, life skills training, employment services, housing services, disaster outreach and crisis management services. Options Workforce Partners, a division of Options for Independence, is a not-for-profit, Alternative Staffing Organization (ASO) helping motivated, disadvantaged individuals participate and succeed in the mainstream labor market by providing temporary and temp-to-perm job placements. Options Workforce Partners works in partnership with local, regional and state economic and workforce development toward a diverse and inclusive employment community that leads to self-sufficiency and decreases reliance on tax supported programs and services.
