Company president and founder Daniel K. Steussy is Opterra's principal engineer and lead investigator, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the earth sciences to the firm's clients. Opterra's client list extends to more than 300 entities, including a broad cross-section of construction-related law firms, land and property owners, and insurance companies. Opterra answers clients' needs for effective geotechnical services by drawing upon an extensive subcontractor network of engineers, geologists, technicians, and laboratories throughout the Southwest. This team of professionals reports directly to Steussy, who is the manager and chief investigator of every Opterra project.
