Oppia Foundation Information

Our mission at the Oppia Foundation is to make quality education universally accessible through our online platform, oppia.org, as well as our Android app for learners without a good Internet connection. We are driven by the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn. Our focus is to provide high-quality, engaging educational content for those who might not have regular access to traditional schooling or who are looking for additional learning resources. To aid in this mission, we have designed a welcoming space for learners by offering lessons that are not only effective, but are enjoyable and empowering. Our open-source learning platforms personalize the learning experience by functioning like an interactive tutor that adapts to each learner’s needs with specific feedback and hints to help them improve. To supplement the learning process, our lessons also include subtitles in the students’ native languages. All lessons are openly licensed, enabling a diverse group of collaborators from around the world to make regular, iterative improvements.
