HCP was founded by Hasmukh C. Patel in 1960. Today, it is a design practice with over 300 people, with offices at Ahmedabad, Delhi and Pune. We are a multidisciplinary practice that provides professional services in architectural design, interior design, engineering, urban design, urban planning, communications, project management and construction management. We believe that essentially, design is problem solving. Our objective is to find simple, clear and elegant solutions to practical problems within the constraints posed by the cultural context, the site, construction technology and the available budget. We also believe that design is enriched by collaboration between diverse experts and end-users. Our design philosophy and collaborative approach allows us to offer an expansive array of non-traditional design services. It also enables us to effectively tackle highly complex and large-scale projects. HCP has completed a large and diverse range of projects which range from individual buildings to campuses, townships, strategic plans, statutory plans, regulations, exhibitions, books, films and more. Our projects are located across India and abroad. We have received several awards including the Aga Khan Award for Architecture and the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Urban Planning and Design.

Founded in 1982, AHC is one of India’s largest architecture and urban design practices, with over 600 architects. With work spanning five countries and nearly every metro city in India, AHC’s portfolio covers residential, commercial, institutional, healthcare, sports, and civic buildings, as well as large-scale masterplanning developments. Led by Hafeez Contractor, the firm achieved one of its most significant recognitions in 2016, when he was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian honour. Over the past four decades, AHC has been at the forefront of urban India’s building boom, responding swiftly to the demand for housing, commercial, and institutional design. The practice has consistently delivered projects that are scalable, resilient, and efficient in speed and construction. With agility in adapting to constraints – whether of budget, space, or area – the practice responds to every building’s dynamic context rather than conforming to a singular style. AHC’s work includes landmark developments like the DLF City in Gurugram and the Hiranandani Gardens (225 acres) in Mumbai, one of India’s first private integrated urban development projects. The firm has modernised the domestic terminals for India’s busiest airports in Mumbai and New Delhi, and designed multiple institutional campuses across India for clients such as Infosys, Birla, and Symbiosis. AHC has designed some of India’s tallest residential high-rises, like The Imperial Towers (253 m) and Minerva Towers (301 m) in Mumbai, The 42 (249 m) in Kolkata, and internationally, 23 Marina (380 m) in Dubai. Currently, AHC is engaged in several significant public projects, including the National Maritime Heritage Complex in Lothal, Gujarat, which won the World Architecture Festival WAFX Award in August 2026.
