Operations Management Students' Association (OMSA) Information

The Operations Management Students' Association (OMSA) of the Department of Decision Sciences, Faculty of Management Studies & Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura was established in 2009 with the objective of enhancing the interaction among students of the Department of Decision Sciences. The objectives of the association are; - To provide welfare facilities to the members of OMSA. - To build and maintain a sound relationship with the corporate sector. - To encourage and facilitate students to actively participate in industrial activities. - To encourage members in involvement of community service. OMSA organizes not only academic activities such as field visits and guest lecturers but also non-academic activities such as musical events and CSR projects. The OMSA has created a fund to help the students to carry out various activities such as field trips and out bound training programmes. Further, in every year we help under privileged schools in rural villages in Sri Lanka to improve the education level of that school.
