Operating System Security Lab(OSSL) Information

In The Name of God Operating System Security Laboratory (OSSL) was founded by Dr. Reza Azmi in Computer Engineering Department of Alzahra University, Tehran, Iran, in 2011. The main goal of this Laboratory is to provide a suitable field for secure development and evaluation of software systems and up to now many projects in security fields have been done by the members of this laboratory. OSSL’s mission is to provide a suitable basis for secure development and evaluation of software systems such as operating system. Indeed, detection of vulnerabilities and fixing them in system layer can be very effective in increasing security level of software systems and our approach is to create secure software systems especially for sensitive organizations.OSSL’s vision is to create an automated and secure development infrastructure for national and international communities and enable them to develop secure and reliable software systems. Customers: OSSL has many different customers like ministry of information technology and telecommunication of Iran, Mobile Telecommunication Company of Iran (MCI), ministry of industries and mines of Iran, ministry of Science and Research of Iran and etc. Partners: OSSL’s partners are Alzahra University and ministry of information technology and telecommunication of Islamic Republic of Iran. Projects: OSSL has done many projects in security fields like secure development of ToobaOS, Secure File System (SFS), Secure Flash File System (SFFS), Secure Cluster File System (SCFS) and etc. furthermore some projects in field of hardening and security evaluation of operating systems, OTA/STK Infrastructure and smart cards have been performed in this laboratory. Publications: OSSL has published many papers in different ISI and ISC journals and International conferences and symposiums that are listed in Publication page.
