The Office for the Pastoral Care of Pilgrimages - Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi is part of the Vicariate of Rome, organ of the Holy See, and committed to promoting the culture and spirit of pilgrimage as a mean for evangelization and knowledge of the faith. Since 1933, Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi has promoted and organized pilgrimages to the Holy Land, to the main Christian sanctuaries and to other places of relevant religious, cultural and ecumenical interest, offering spiritual and technical-organizational assistance. In Italy, and in particular in Rome, center of Christianity and seat of the successor of Peter, the ORP is committed to enhancing and making accessible its heritage of art and faith, paying particular attention to its ecclesial value.
