Deutsche Grammophon is a German classical record label which was the foundation of the future corporation to be known as PolyGram. It is now part of Universal Music Group (UMG) since its acquisition and absorption of PolyGram in 1999, and it is also UMG's oldest active label. It is also the oldest surviving established record company, founded in 1898.
Chandos Records is one of the world's leading classical music record companies, with a back catalog of over 3,000 recordings and 5 new releases each month.
Renowned for its ground breaking search for neglected musical gems, its superb sound quality (several SACD recordings) and for having pioneered the idea of 'series', Chandos regularly wins many prestigious awards.
