We particularly specialize in the fields of research and teaching and this has led to our evolving into the position of a truly prominent international institution.

Das Theater Bonn beschäftigt in den Sparten Oper und Schauspiel ca. 400 Mitarbeitende. Neben dem Opernhaus, Schauspielhaus und der Werkstattbühne verfügt das Theater über Probenräume und renommierte Theaterwerkstätten. Mit ca. 400 Veranstaltungen im Jahr trägt das Haus einen wesentlichen Beitrag zum kulturellen Leben der Stadt und Region bei. Neben Neuinszenierungen und Wiederaufnahmen von Opern und Schauspielstücken bietet das Theater der Bundesstadt Bonn spezielle Programme für Schüler, Studierende, Kinder und Familien, die das Netzwerk Portal begründen. Gastspielreihen, wie die beliebten HIGHLIGHTS DES INTERNATIOJNALEN TANZES oder die etablierte Veranstaltungsreihe QUATSCH KEINE OPER! runden das Angebot des Theaters ab.

Bonn International School is a learning community that empowers and inspires excellence in all that we do. BIS is a result of the merger of the former Bonn American High School, American Elementary School and British High School. The roots of these three schools go back 65 years and draw on a much longer history. Enrollment for 2023-2024: 825 students, aged 3 to 19 years, from 80 different countries, with 40+ languages. The largest groups represented are from Germany (18%), USA (18%), UK (9%), France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, China, India, and Canada. Curriculum: IB World School, we offer the Primary Years (PYP), Middle Years (MYP) and Diploma Programmes (DP). Fully accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization, Council of International Schools and New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Class size: Average 18 students, maximum of 22 students per class. Counselling: Counsellors support both Primary and Secondary students with their social and emotional needs.
