OpenStructures explores the possibility of a modular construction model where everyone designs for everyone on the basis of one shared geometrical grid. It initiates a kind of collaborative MECCANO® to which everybody can contribute parts, components, structures and designs. It hereby envisions a new standard for sustainable design that facilitates the re-use of parts and components and allows us to build things together, thus contributing to the circular use of materials and objects.
