OpenLitterMap Information

We are turning cleaning the planet into a game to transform global public education and unlock societies impact mapping potential. Starting pre-iPhone in 2008, openlittermap is the academic precursor to a global education, reporting, engagement and transformative 21st century intervention for society. OpenLitterMap is open source technology. Everyone in the world has shared, equal, and unrestricted rights to download and reuse the code & data. Taking a photo is all it takes to get started. This simple yet powerful action can help you communicate your impact, observations and valuable environmental data with the world. Each photo captures valuable information about a time, location, and real-world observations including litter times, materials, and brands.
