Since 1975, Iona Senior Services has provided the community-based services, solutions, and relief that make aging well possible. Our mission is to support older adults and caregivers through the opportunities and challenges of aging. We work throughout the Greater Washington, DC area and beyond to educate, advocate, and provide community-based services to help people age well and live well. When it comes to aging and caregiving, everyone has different needs. That's why we offer a full range of services. Adult day health services for some, consultations and long-term care planning with experts for others. Community programs like meals, fitness classes, and arts. Recreational activities that promote a healthy lifestyle. Support groups and presentations to build community, and more. At Avenidas, we seek to create a community that supports and celebrates older adults. We provide a wide range of support options, information, and services that enable people to stay active, maintain their independence, help their aging parents, or care for a spouse. Our innovative programs and compassionate staff—paid and volunteer—help enrich the lives of more than 4,300 older adults and their families each year. A community-based nonprofit organization, Avenidas serves the San Francisco Bay Area mid-Peninsula communities of Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Mountain View, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, San Jose, Stanford, Sunnyvale, Redwood City, East Palo Alto, and Santa Clara.

ElderServe was founded in 1962 in response to a community needs study conducted by the Community Chest (now Metro United Way). This agency is a non-profit organization located in Louisville, KY that serves senior adults residing in Jefferson County. Its mission is to empower older adults to live independently with dignity.
