Wings of Hope changes and saves lives through the power of aviation. In the U.S., the nonprofit provides medical air transport services – free of charge – to individuals who need access to specialized medical care. The organization also works in 10 countries outside of the U.S., working with in-country partners to fly people in remote areas to emergency medical care and fly doctors into communities with no local health care. Wings of Hope has been twice nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize and has a 4-star rating on Charity Navigator. In 2017, Wings of Hope directly served 45,858 people around the world. Flying Futures is a non for profit Community Interest Company that manages and delivers a range of Social programmes across Yorkshire & Humberside, the North East and East Midlands, to bring about effective change to communities.
This is done primarily (though not exclusively) through the use of sports, mentoring, training and employment & citizenship programmes with Children and Young People aged between 5 and 25 years of age.
Wings of Support is a private initiative by KLM staff. We are making an effort to provide shelter and education to children in the countries these companies fly to. Because of the nature of their work, the airline staff regularly stay in many countries, therefore a project can be visited to a maximum extent, both by Wings of Support contributors and by interested supporters/sponsors. Currently, Wings of Support is also supported by various companies other than KLM, as well as private individuals.
