Open Source Classroom, LLC Information

The 3D Literacy Project provides a necessary foundation of knowledge and skills to thrive in the midst of technological change. Connecting various disciplines of technical literacy with the open-source proliferation of information enables people to create almost anything they desire. The "Maker Movement" is growing quickly as an increasing number of people are contributing technical knowledge to the open-source community. Open Source Classroom believes that every person should be equipped with a base of knowledge from each of the 3D Literacy components. Knowledge of basic programming skills, electrical circuits and machines, and the ability to design 3D objects in modeling software provides a strong foundation of engineering fundamentals. Each element of 3D Literacy is interconnected with the other two elements. 3D Literacy and creativity combine to produce innovative solutions to problems in today's rapidly changing technical world.
