Open Range Ltd originally launched our Get-The-Spec data feeds in 2000 to service the needs of UK and Irish resellers who wanted a competitive, alternative source for a comprehensive product database. We’ve supplied product content services to leading manufacturers like Compaq, IBM, Toshiba and Hewlett Packard. Get-The-Spec pioneered driving the costs of quality product content down to a level that is affordable for most companies. Our founders originally came from the IT Equipment reseller community, and we’ve since expanded our expertise to provide Get-The-Spec feeds for Office Supplies and Consumer Appliances as well. No other UK company has the level of in-depth understanding of the supply chains in these sectors, having gained years of experience and built up extensive industry contacts. In January 2019 Open Range Ltd became part of the Pimberly group of companies, enhancing the services available and further cementing Get-The-Spec as the leading supplier of product data for the IT and office industries. This change further allows us to focus on delivering innovative solutions to fit the needs of companies in UK and Ireland.
