Open Assembly Information

We are instructors. We are students. And we’re revolutionizing hybrid and online learning! Teaching and learning online should be affordable, accessible, AND engaging—and at their best, as intuitive within bricks-and-mortar or virtual classroom settings as they are in the interactive digital space outside the classroom. Open Assembly makes it easy for anyone to build their own learning community around shared resources and experiences. We facilitate content-driven collaboration with Open Educational Resources (OER). We are not course-focused: we are learning-focused. Here’s what Open Assembly lets you do: —Edit open textbooks at the chapter level, and embed rich media and links within those chapters. —Create, curate, remix, or clone learning paths and courseware; reuse and adapt learning collections and “playlists” as you like. —Invite colleagues and peers to curate with you, from the course level down to the module, topic, or resource level. —Engage and interact with content using comments and by adding supplemental assets to each playlist. —Take your favorite materials with you on your learning path from course to course or from one learning goal to another. —Form or join private or public groups and learning communities. You can use Open Assembly as a course or curriculum, a coursepack, a research tool, a collection of resources, or simply a way to organize your project.
