oow.berlin Information

OOW is a Berlin architecture practice. We design and build buildings and interiors – powerful, focused and bold. Founded in 2009 by Sebastian Blancke and Mathis Malchow, who both worked at Foster + Partners in London. Since then we have planned everything from single houses to residential quarters of several hundred units, for clients including Autostadt Wolfsburg, the Augustinum group, JP Morgan, CureVac and the German Bundestag administration. WE VISUALISE BEFORE WE DRAW. In most practices the visualisation comes last, when the design has to be sold. With us it comes first. You see your building early and in three dimensions – and receive one resolved proposal instead of a set of options to choose between. The same model becomes the basis for fabrication: quantities, joint patterns and component lists all come from it. So the image shows you the design, not merely the intention. YOU CAN HAND US THE WHOLE PROJECT – from assessing a site to signing off the last joint. Or only the part that has stalled: when the design is settled, when the permit is stuck, or when construction documentation needs a depth your team cannot deliver right now. Detailed design is our core competence – including for other practices' designs. WHAT WE PLAN: living · health and ageing · hospitality and hotels · workplace · retail and representation. Almost everything we build already stands: conversion, extension, change of use – often while the building stays in operation. We no longer enter competitions. Our projects come through recommendation and through clients who return. Tell us about your project – one call is enough for a first assessment. +49 30 7675 811-00 · oow.berlin
