Ontario Masonry Training Centre Information

OMTC is a not-for-profit organization, working in partnership with the Ontario Masonry Contractors Association (OMCA), Canadian Concrete Masonry Producers Association (CCMPA), Cement Association of Canada (CAC), Brampton Brick & Forterra Brick. Our training centre's administrative headquarters (located in Mississauga), established in 1990, was mandated to implement effective apprenticeship training for Brick and Stone Masons, Restoration Masons, Stone Cutters, Stone Carvers, and Refractory workers in the residential, industrial, commercial and institutional construction sectors. As an accredited Training Delivery Agent (TDA) for Ontario, we have expanded the skills breadth and depth of tradespeople. This effective change in the workforce has improved quality, productivity, and safety with a competitive spirit, as our graduates will attest. We currently have three campuses in Mississauga, Ottawa (Orleans), and Waterloo* (*Through the OMCA/Conestoga College Partnership). Our facilities have a capacity to train over 400 trade related people annually from across Ontario. OMTC is also ISO 9001:2008 Certified, implementing quality management systems chartered by BSI Systems. We are dedicated to providing the skilled workers required by the employers and to providing career options to the apprentices.
