Onsitestudio Information

Onsitestudio is a Milan-based architectural practice, with a team of architects and a group of directors who play a key role in shaping the studio’s design vision and project delivery. Our work is grounded in research, design precision and contextual awareness, spanning public buildings, housing, cultural institutions and masterplans. We approach architecture as an urban craft: measured interventions that build continuity between form, history and everyday life—through clear typologies, durable construction and a careful relationship between ground floors, streets and shared spaces. Carbon reduction and durability are integral to our process, guided by an economy of means and robust detailing from concept to construction. Selected ongoing projects include Balilla Park Living / Balilla Residential Complex in Milan, Centro Cultural Cervantes in Milan, Secondary School in Piacenza and Residential Complex in Piacenza, Hotel Le Palace Bruxelles, and BEIC European Library in Milan. Selected built work includes Garibaldi Office Complex, Rolex Italia Headquarter, Pirelli Learning Centre, BASE Cultural Centre, Sassuolo Training Centre / Mapei Football Center, and Services Buildings for EXPO Milano 2015. Research and teaching are part of the studio’s identity. Angelo Lunati is Associate Professor of Architectural Design at Politecnico di Milano and Design Critic in Architecture at Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD). The studio’s work has been awarded several national and international prizes such as Bigmat 2021, Premio In/Arch 2020, Premio Architetto Italiano 2016, Premio Qualità Italia Giovani 2010 and has been documented through publications, including the monograph “Onsitestudio – Mailand/Milan” (de aedibus international, Quart Publishers), and “Corner kick: Mapei Football Center Sassuolo” (Park Books).
