The design attitude at Onix can be characterized as being a continuous search - a search oscillating between old and new, between change an improvement, between neutral and specific, between the obvious an alienation, and between the generic and the architect's signature. Borders are deliberately transgressed during this search, so that the assignment can be stretched and new possibilities arise for the requested programme. Having to respond to changing reality during the design process challenges the designers to improvise and to get the most out of their design. This design attitude works as a mechanism to resist the obvious an create something unique - a work in progress in which any penchant for the past and the future is rejected.
