Onechild Ghana Information

Onechild Ghana is a UK-based charity that supports Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) schools in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. We believe that education, training and skills are fundamental in alleviating poverty in developing countries and help young adults build a future for themselves Consequently, we work with youngsters to help them secure a brighter future for themselves and their communities. We work on a number of projects through the year, from assisting enrollments with scholarships, to micro-financing self-sustaining enterprises in the schools, funding the purchasing of tools and equipment to supporting larger projects, like the building of classroom blocks, dormitories and kitchens. We are volunteer-led and managed, and take no income from the charity. We work with teachers and administrators in Ghana who are known and trusted by the charity and trustees, and who also take no income from the charity. This guarantees a maximum amount of funds raised reaches the intended cause. Onechild Ghana: alleviating poverty, building futures.
