The world is facing the largest refugee crisis since World War II. As families are persecuted they are forced to seek shelter in safe countries where they often do not speak the language, have skills to join the labor market or have the support of their friends and family. One Digital World is the first nonprofit organization to help women inside refugee camps build English, computer, and internet skills to prepare for employment and better economic opportunities. Each student will earn certifications from LinkedIn and Microsoft during the course and be awarded graduate-level credit from the University of San Diego.
