Omega Biologicals, Inc. was founded in 1987 when the company president and founder, Michael J. Halat, Ph.D., noted that there was a genuine need for superior quality antibodies and antigens for use in the manufacture of medical diagnostic test kits. The company develops proprietary technology for the manufacture of proteins that are used in the formulation of medical diagnostic test kits. The technology is then used to prepare proteins for the medical diagnostic test kit industry. Current products include primary antibodies, secondary antibodies, purified antigens and our proprietary blocking reagent, HeteroBlock®. Current research interests include the electrochemistry of copper, silver, gold, and the platinum group elements and their effect, in monatomic form, upon DNA current flow.
