No matter how sophisticated our palates get, nothing tastes better than something that brings us back to our childhood. This is the exact premise of our business. We call our unique business concept “Modern Nostalgia”. Our goal is to re-capture “sweet” memories for the baby boomers and their parents and to create new and everlasting memories for kids of today, tomorrow and forever. The Sweet Shop NYC is the “sweet” creation of Kelly and Glyn Jaime, a husband & wife team that have joined creative forces (his background is in marketing and sales and she owns a branding and design firm in New York) to open an "old fashioned" and “vintage looking”....but clean and modern confectionary cafe. We will be retailing ultra-premium and artisanal sweets and desserts that we have personally sourced, taste-tested and curated from across the country. We currently have relationships with many artisans and chefs that we have scouted. We are also considering "guest" spots, where our customers can meet and chat with the product creators themselves, in special “ Invitation Only” events. Our focus for this concept is to serve the unique and underserved neighborhood of the upper east side for this much needed blast of “Modern Nostalgia”.
